Deep Dive: The Double Dungeon
A routine D-Rank dungeon. Nothing about the entrance suggests otherwise. Then a hidden door opens and Jin-Woo's group steps into a chamber that is not D-Rank anything.
The test has three commandments. The group fails on commandment two. Statues animate. Everyone dies except Jin-Woo, who stays alive long enough to reach the altar, accept what it offers, and flatline with the System installed.

Deep Dive: Jeju Island Raid
Jeju Island had been overrun by mutated ants for years. The fourth reclamation attempt was Korea's largest coordinated hunter operation, with Japan's elite Draw Sword Guild joining as support. It fell apart before Jin-Woo arrived.
Goto Ryuji had planned for Korean S-Ranks to absorb most of the casualties. When the Ant King emerged ahead of schedule, everyone fell instead. Jin-Woo teleported in via Shadow Exchange, swapping with a soldier he had placed on healer Min Byung-Gyu before the raid began.

The Demon Castle is a 100-floor S-Rank instance dungeon Jin-Woo clears alone. The goal is the Holy Water of Life for his comatose mother, three ingredients scattered across the floors. The final boss, Demon King Baran, is a constructed replica of the Monarch of White Flames, not a true Monarch, but close enough to matter.

Three Monarchs invaded Korea with one objective: kill Sung Jin-Woo before he fully awakened. They killed Go Gun-Hee. They killed Sung Il-Hwan, who spent his last minutes buying his son time to wake up. Then the Monarch of Fangs stabbed Jin-Woo through the heart at Chapter 117.
